What To Expect: Sunday Evening

We believe our Sunday gatherings are the most vital and joyful part of our weekly rhythm. 

As disciples gather, Jesus is uniquely present with us and we can experience the nearness of his comforts, wisdom, and love in uniquely powerful ways.

During Sunday evening’s hour, you can expect the following:

  • Our evening services are simplified compared to our morning gatherings, and more intimate. During our time together we share prayer requests and spend a bit more time asking God to work in situations that concern our church family. We also sing a couple of songs to extol our God through the accompaniment of a guitar or piano.

    “The right hand of the LORD exalts, the right hand of the LORD does valiantly!” (Psalm 119:18)

  • Because our Sunday morning text is usually drawn from the New Testament, the evening service is most often based off an Old Testament text. The atmosphere is more relaxed and the message generally shorter than in the morning. Rather than offering a separate opportunity for kids, we encourage families to come and worship together.

    “I will meditate on your precepts
    and fix my eyes on your ways. I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.” (Psalm 119:15-16)
